There is a great article by Dick Polman, a writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer, about how Fred Thompson isn’t what we have cracked him up to be. Take a quick glance at what the article has to say.
“But on substance, Thompson is no Reagan. Reagan was the titular leader of a movement long before he took the presidency. Thompson spent eight years in the Senate and barely left a mark; as conservative political writer Donald Lambro noted recently: “He led no great crusades, nor did he win any medals for leadership.” When Thompson was asked recently to name a Senate achievement, he came up empty.”
I admire how great Ronald Reagan was and what he did for this party, as well as this country. I can tell you this much, I don’t think its right for us to just crown the one-term Senator from Tennessee as the next Ronald Reagan. As a matter of fact about the only thing so far I can say the two had in common was the fact that they were both actors.
Case and Point can be viewed by clicking on the video to the right entitled The Real Fred Thompson. I find it hard to believe that the good ole boy from Tennessee is the next great President when he wavers on the Pro-Life issue as much as he does.

I have been hearing about Thompson’s lackluster record. That could really hurt him as he enters the race.
I hate to do it. This is going to hurt me more than it’s going to hurt you.
The phrase is “case in point”.
